1,2,3,4 Keep it up 2,3,4…

Yep. It’s one foot in front of the other right now. ..But ya know what? As easy as it is to get into the same talk track like “that stupid COVID-19! Won’t even let me go to the park now” And “if I have to wash my hands one…more…time…AND

(Ohh no…)

…you might find yourself with an even bigger headache than you originally would have.

Simple is good.
Maintain a healthy distance from others when possible,
Wash your hands regularly…(yeah, yeah, blah, blah blah, we all know the rules by now, right.)

After all the business of duties is “marked off” and taken care of, and we’re all in a “steady pattern of maintaining safety and well-being…” I say focus on the things that really really make you happy! I’m talking “Thanksgiving day meal,” “special Christmas present headed your way” kind of buzz. (It’s kind of a compliment to the old immune system too, wouldn’t you agree)? What project have you been excited about lately? Do you have a chance to work on at least a portion of it? Chances are good that you do, whether it’s planning ahead or organizing materials that you already have, etc.. Do you have some extra time at home? Research that travel destination you’ve been dreaming about—start to make it a 3-D reality.

This is the perfect time to get those odd tasks started or taken to the finish line..all the while eating Doritos (if there are any left, Lol) or those amazing thin mints (again, if you were able to grab a box in time, ha!). Thing is, it’s easier than you might think to be dragged down “into the depths of despair” by yourself or others because of: the uncertainty of our country, the world economy, our survival as a species, etc… etc.. (yes..I realize these are real issues, but sometimes poking fun at them is, well, kinda satisfying. And I know I’m not alone—you know who you are haha!)

All I’m saying is, a bit of lightheartedness and Nintendo(!!!) can go a loooong way. Now’s the perfect time for you to sit back and relax (or do something constructive, no judgement here).

My last “pearl of wisdom” is this…actually, I have a list. Take your pick 🙂

~ Every adventure requires a first step (Cheshire Cat)
~ Why worry? If you’ve done the best you can, worrying won’t make it any better (Walt Disney)
~ Think of the happiest things. It’s the same as having wings (Peter Pan)
~ Remember who you are (Mufasa)
~ The problem is not the problem. The problem is your attitude about the problem (Captain Jack Sparrow)
~ It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine (Eeyore)
~ Reach for the sky! (Woody)
~ Forget about your worries and your strife (Baloo)
~ Adventure is out there (Up)

~ Here’s to living the good life.
